Η έβδομη και πιο συναρπαστική τέχνη, αυτή που ενσωματώνει στοιχεία από όλες τις προηγούμενες, αλλά και από εκείνες που την ακολούθησαν στη λίστα των τεχνών που κινητοποιούν τα συναισθήματα, έχει για τέταρτη χρονιά την τιμητική της στο τεύχος που κρατάτε στα χέρια σας. Είναι μια διαφορετική διαδρομή στα ανθρώπινα, μέσα από ήρωες που μας συγκινούν, μας κάνουν να χαμογελάμε πλατιά, μας προβληματίζουν και μας εμπνέουν. Όπως αυτούς που τόσο αριστοτεχνικά σκηνοθέτησε ο Jean-Luc Godard που έφυγε από τη ζωή πριν από περίπου ένα μήνα, ο πρωτεργάτης της nouvelle vague, του γαλλικού νέου κύματος που έφερε έναν αέρα ανανέωσης και αμφισβήτησης στην έβδομη τέχνη, ο οποίος υπέγραψε δύο από τις πιο αγαπημένες μου ταινίες. Την εμβληματική Περιφρόνηση, μια ταινία-δοκίμιο για τη διττή φύση του κινηματογράφου ως τέχνη και βιομηχανία, μια ταινία-ακύρωση κάθε πιθανού γνωστού και ταυτόχρονα μια υπέροχα συγκινητική ερωτική ιστορία με φόντο το μαγευτικό Κάπρι και πρωταγωνίστρια την απόλυτη σταρ του γαλλικού σινεμά Brigitte Bardo. Η δεύτερη είναι ο τρελός Πιερό, με τους εκπληκτικούς Jean-Paul Belmondo και Anna Karina. Δυο παλιοί εραστές, μια απόδραση από το συμβατικό, αστικό Παρίσι, η περιπέτεια του απόλυτου, τρελού έρωτα. Μια ταινία ορόσημο μιας εποχής γεμάτης ουτοπικές προσδοκίες, με «το τελευταίο ρομαντικό ζευγάρι» και ένα αναμφίβολα εκρηκτικό φινάλε.
Είμαστε πολύ περήφανοι εδώ στη Vogue Greece που τρεις κορυφαίοι καλλιτέχνες οι οποίοι με τη δουλειά τους μπροστά και πίσω από τις κάμερες έχουν καταξιωθεί στη συνείδηση του κοινού, η Sigourney Weaver, η Kate Hudson και ο Luca Guadagnino κοσμούν τα εξώφυλλά μας και μας μιλούν αποκλειστικά για τις υπέροχες ταινίες που ετοιμάζουν.

Phrasing of moments
The seventh and most exciting art form, the one that brings together elements of all the previous ones, as well as the ones that came after it in the list of arts that wake our feelings, is celebrated for yet another year in the issue in your hands. It’s an alternative way of exploring the human nature through characters that inspire us, make us feel emotional, smile, and think. Like the ones created by Jean-Luc Godard who sadly passed away about a month ago. He was a pioneer in nouvelle vague, the French new wave that brought a sense of renewal and challenge in the art of cinema and he made two of my all-time favorite films. The iconic Contempt, a film on the double nature of cinema as both an art and an industry, a film that cancels everything we know, focusing on a beautiful, moving love story set in magical Capri, starring the ultimate star of French cinema, Brigitte Bardot. The second one is Pierrot le fou, with the extraordinary Jean-Paul Belmondo and Anna Karina. Two former lovers, an escape from conventional, urban Paris, the ultimate crazy love adventure. A film that marks an entire era filled with utopian expectations, with “the last romantic couple” and an undoubtedly powerful finale.
