H Clare Waight Keller αποχωρεί από τον οίκο Givenchy

Μετά από 3 χρόνια επιτυχημένης πορείας ως artistic director του οίκου Givenchy, η Clare Waight Keller ανακοίνωσε μέσα από τον προσωπικό της λογαριασμό στο Instagram ότι αποχωρεί από τον γαλλικό οίκο.

Η σχεδιάστρια ξεκίνησε την καριέρα της στον Calvin Klein και στη συνέχεια εργάστηκε στους Ralph Lauren, Gucci και Pringle of Scotland. Η αποχώρηση του Riccardo Tisci, την έφερε στον Givenchy όπου και ανέλαβε ως η πρώτη γυναίκα επικεφαλής της υψηλής ραπτικής και του ready-to-wear το 2017. Πριν, βρισκόταν στο τιμόνι του οίκου Chloé.

From the heart ♥️ After three truly wonderful years, the time has come to close my chapter at Givenchy. As the first woman to be the Artistic Director of this legendary Maison, I feel honoured to have been given the opportunity to cherish its legacy and bring it new life. Focusing on a world based on Haute Couture has been one of the highlights of my professional journey. I have shared so many incredible moments with the brilliant Givenchy ateliers and design teams : your exceptional talent and dedication will forever remain in my memories. My heartfelt thanks go out to each of the unsung heroes and heroines behind the scenes, for their contribution from product to communications and retail, and every global team member, partner and supplier in between. Without all of you, I could not have brought my vision for Givenchy to life in such a beautiful way. I am now looking forward to embarking on the next episode. Love and creativity remain central to what I do, and who I am, as does a heartfelt belief in kindness, and the courage to be true to your art. Η Keller χάραξε τη δική της πορεία στην ιστορία του Givenchy. Οι συλλογές της απέπνεαν μία πειραματική ζωντάνια που ενθουσίασε την κοινότητα της μόδας και συνέβαλε στη διεθνή αναγνώριση του οίκου. Μία από τις σημαντικότερες στιγμές της καριέρας ήταν και η συνεργασία της με την πρώην Δούκισσα του Sussex, Meghan Markle, για την οποία σχεδίασε το νυφικό της το 2018.

Ο Sidney Toledano, Πρόεδρος του LVMH Fashion Group, ευχαρίστησε θερμά την Keller για τη συνεισφορά της στον οίκο και δήλωσε πως «με τη δημιουργική της επιμέλεια και με την υπέροχη συνεργασία με τα ατελιέ, ο οίκος επανασυνδέθηκε με τις αυθεντικές αξίες του Hubert de Givenchy και την έμφυτη κομψότητά του». Η ίδια με τη σειρά της έγραψε στα social media: «Ως η πρώτη γυναίκα καλλιτεχνική διευθύντρια του ιστορικού οίκου, νιώθω τιμή που μου δόθηκε η ευκαιρία να αναδείξω την κληρονομιά του και να φέρω νέο αέρα. Τώρα κοιτάω μπροστά για το επόμενο επεισόδιο».
